And so it happens, the tables turn. The human being that changed your mind about everything so determinedly, suddenly has become the ghost that makes you second guess it all. It haunts your mind, it questions your motives, it induces regret. It overcomes you; you are compelled to listen to the songs that that person made so meaningful to you as you drive in your car to the places where you and they had so many blissful memories. Tears shed, time passes, and the ghost doesn’t budge, and in a way, you learn to deal. While part of you realizes that it is slowly driving you to insanity, most of the time, you cope. You fight off the instinct to think about them, to talk about them, to dial their number. You want so badly to rid yourself of that horrible burden, but at the same time, you’re terrified of them not being in your life anymore.
