Dear fan,

Last weekend Team Pioneer was present on Tuning World Bodensee, one of the biggest tuning shows in Europe located in Friedrichshafen, South Germany.

With over 107.500 visitors, +150 tuning clubs, high end tuning companies, there was of course a place to be reserved for Team Pioneer.

The team had over 10 cars on the spot as well as the 'Pioneer truck'.
We had lots of fun, especialy with the 'live t-shirt swap' (yep, also the ladies did) or the subwoofer lifting contest with our 34kg animal, the TS-W5102SPL.

Bernard scores at PACA France

French Team member Bernard Chaillot ended third at the France PACA finals, with only 7 points less than the winner in the ultimate category.

He was very pleased with the result but he will pursue on finding the best sound setup.

Norwegian Champions!

Team Pioneer scored again. At the Norwegian championships, three Team Pioneer members became Norwegian Champions. Ketil won in the Master 7 and Multimedia Expert category. Anders took first place in Advanced 5, and Jonny is very pleased with his Norwegian Champion title in Advanced Unlimited! Congratulations to the team!

Team Pioneer number one at Eurofinals 2008

Team Pioneer attended the European EMMA (European Mobile Media Association) Finals in full force. In total no less than 26 team cars qualified for this venue which is only accessible for each nation's best 2 cars.

Traditionally the Eurofinals are on a different location year by year, for 2008 the location was in central Europe: Austria, in a city called Wels. The Eurofinals were held during the "PS Motor Show", from 24 till 26 October 2008. An event visited by over 35.000 people and a competition field of exactly 300 cars from 23 nations. Pioneer Europe hosted the members on a surface of about 800m² including the Pioneer booth.

The results of Team Pioneer were unique in the EMMA history, never before since the new competition rules were aplied, a single team or a single brand reached this achievement list : in total 14 cups were collected by 100% Pioneer equipped cars of which 6 European champions, 5 Vice European champions and 3 third places!

"Recaro Days" big Tuning event in Nürburgring

Last weekend, PED participated with a 300m² booth and almost all team cars in the "Recaro Days", a big Tuning event on the famous race track Nürburgring.

36.000 visitors came to see this event. A lot of them competed in subwoofer lifting. One guy managed to hold up the TS-W5102SPL for more than 8 minutes.

The team competed in 12 categories and scored quite well: 9 cups in total, and 6 first places.

Team Pioneer: winning team at Russian EMMA finals

Last week, the Russian EMMA Finals were held in Moscow. We are proud to announce that we have two Russian Champions in our team, Ivan Izraylev and Igor Miroshnischenko. Igor scored 484 points in the Master 7 class, while Ivan took gold in EMMA Racing Descent. Furthermore he also got second in Master 5, Multimedia Advanced and ESPL Advanced 8+. Also props to Viktor Ivanov who ended second in Expert Unlimited and third in Multimedia Expert.

And like this wasn't enough, we were also elected as best team of the competition!

Jonny lives in the northwest of Norway, about 500 km from Oslo. He has competed for more than 12 years in the car audio scene and became 4 times National Champion!

He competes in Advanced Unlimited, and he's going for top three in the European Championship this year!

So keep an eye on this guy! Below you can watch and read (if you speak Norwegian) an article in a national Norwegian newspaper.

Yokohama Tuning Festival

Bernard is on a quest to conquer France

On Tuesday, 22 June a contest took place in Le Pontet, South-East of France. The competition was part of the PACA championships. The atmosphere was heavenly, with nice sunny weather and beautiful French girls.

Team Pioneer member Bernard Chaillot finished 2nd in the Ultimate category, right behind a Peugeot 806 who had less problems in creating sound depth, compared to his sportscoupé....

In fact they had an equal total amount of points, but the guy with the Peugeot received a few more points for sound quality.. and that's why Bernard became 2nd.

Nevertheless another great result for Bernard and the Team, thanks!

Kazan roadtrip and competition

Yet another adventure of our Russian friend Ivan. He drove to Kazan for a local event:

I think my result in Kazan was good. My main result: I won Kazan Multimedia car against my main competitor this year (I think in Europe, too). Now I know how to win from this car.

Sound Quality – in Kazan we had a real battle – 3 Russians thought were going to win in this class. Vitaly Karev (aka “The Legend” )- yes, this man had the biggest collection of cups in Russia 2 years ago and Dima Matveev called him “The Legend”.... But now Vitaly has the second biggest cups collection – after Viktor (Team Pioneer)
Vladimir Burlakov (aka “Maestro”) – one of the top installers in Russia – has a Russian military car (bigger than Hummer!) – see photo here -– he's a very great man!!!

I won against Burlakov, but Karev beated me. We tried some new sound tuning – but apperently not so good from passenger's side……we've lost many points there….

Russian skills

An amazing story was sent to us by our Russian Team Pioneer members. They scored first place with only a few basic components, but with a big bag of skills.

While the new equipment we ordered was still on its way to Russia, we decided to go to the competition in Salavat. We needed a rating for our Peugeot 207 very urgently. Results: we took all 4 first places, so we had a very good appearance!

BUT! The moest incredible result was of Viktor (his fingers were itching for competition). He installed a car, an old Peugeot 1007 so, that was already a shock for most people:

Only components in this car were: Pioneer DEH-P88RSII headunit, Pioneer PRS 2 way speakers, and that was all! No amplifiers, no subwoofer, no competition wiring (all wires came of our stock!). Budget for this system - 700 euro with installation (it only took 3 hours to install all!

When we were asked to come on stage - all people thought it was a joke...... because the.class was not so simple - Advanced 5 channel with.7 competitors....but.... Viktor placed first!

Unbelievable result! All forums in Russia are telling about it!!! Only about new P88RSII head unit!!

Germans scoring at local events

The Opel Meeting in Oschersleben was the biggest event this month with > 50.000 Visitors. Pioneer was the main sponsor of the EMMA- Event. Lars Neuper, Björn and Andy managed a small booth with their cars on display.

Results: Lars 2nd (Advanced 7), Andy 2nd (Advanced unl.), 3rd (Racing) 1st (Show And Shine) and Björn in his first competition ended being 4th (Advanced unlimited).

Susanne Böhm now has a set of 19" wheels on her car so that we can show it on tuning events. This was at the "Schwab Tuning Day" on June, 1st in Neuss, whe she displayed the Beetle among around 300
othe tuned cars.
