Be prepared because we have again a very special treat for you with Frequency 7: an exclusive project between Ben Sims and Surgeon, with which they performed on big festivals as Awakenings and Monegros. Now in Gent @ Kozzmozz !

Kozzmozz vs Ultra
Another great edition of Kozzmozz! From the very start people were propelled into the right atmosphere by Tomaz who delivered a brilliant warm-up set to none other than Luke Slater, who clearly was the man of the moment. A wicked selection of mental rhythms and exploding beats making the room vibrate with energy. Needless to say, hands were popping in the air every 5 minutes! Meanwhile Juannes delivered a minimal set of which we're sure many people will remember. He really was the hero of the night in the Ultra room. James Ruskin and Regis took over in the main room and cranked it up, working the dancefloor as you would expect from two of the most solid names in the UK techno scene. In the Ultra room Spacid took over the controls after some minor technical problems but he delivered the goods.
Psytox, who was celebrating his birthday, finished the job by treating his friends and the Kozzmozz crowd to an avalanche of strong tunes making people dance their asses off till the very end. In the main room Kr!z closed this already memorable night with a hard uplifting techno set reminding people what Kozzmozz stands for. A lot of tired but happy faces were later seen leaving the building, heading for Music For Life house with some donations from the night!

Next Kozzmozz Saturday 20 December !!
We’re almost at the end of 2008, another great year for Kozzmozz and there’s still one more to go! Let’s make it as memorable as the previous ones!
For this one, we’ve invited one of Britain’s true electronic music and Techno pioneers. With a career that spans over 20 years and counting, Luke Slater continues to reinvent himself and push musical boundaries. From early DJ sets back in 1988 and his first release "Freebase" in 1989 through to his new Planetary Assault Systemsalbum due for release 2009 ! His regular appearances at legendary clubs as Berghain, Berlin, Fabric, London and Nitsa, Barcelona retain his superstar status today as a live performer and of course a DJ prepared to deliver. Luke also took the time to set up Mote Evolver back in 2006. A label run by himself releasing limited 12" copies for the collector and digital downloads through the Mote Evolver website. He’s also just released a 12”, with Adam Beyer on Figures.
And then something special, as we tend to deliver ... An interactive dj-set between two UK pioneers in the form of James Ruskin, leading force at Blueprint Records, and Regis from Downwards. Both are, amongst lots of other labels, also to be found on Tresor Records which is also the label on which they released their first EP together as O/V/R earlier this year. Be prepared to be amazed.
They are joined by Tomaz from Switch on Studio Brussels and our resident Kr!z who is one of those few dj’s who possesses the gift to play great records and have an astonishing mixing technique. Kr!z runs his own label Token records, with releases from Inigo Kennedy, Sub Space (aka Julien and Gonzague), Radial and now Dimitri Andreas !
With the end of the year in sight we have another opportunity to celebrate double so we’ve added the Ultra concept to the festivities again. The better minimal sounds of the moment, brought to you by Belgian dj’s amongst which several young talents who definitely deserve a spot on a bigger event !
Psytox has been around for a while as a dj but is now also producing, expect his second EP on his own label Coïncidence Records around the time of this party!
Juannes is the leading force behind the Plus/Minus parties and was resident at P3P. Expect a new concept from him and co-founder of P3P, Prince Off, soon !
Cube is the founder of the Dogstyle parties and resident at Desperados. After making his way into our young talent corner through Poppunt, here he is again through the Switch Young Talent Corner contest !
And also resident Spacid will bring his collection of minimal records. When he’s behind the decks, the atmosphere is always great!

Next Kozzmozz Saturday 20 September !!
Like each year after summer we have a traditional Kozzmozz party at Vooruit that will happen on Saturday September 20th. No huge head-liner this time but two of our old time favorites and one who’s been on our wish-list for a long time ! And all three guests have been living and breathing techno since the very early days …
Headlining is Cisco or The Advent. Cisco started producing Techno and performing live Techno shows years before the rest of the world had even heard of the genre. He released his first track in 1988, was a pioneer of the Live PA (or Live Public Address – performing Techno live in front of an audience using electronic music gear), and, if all that wasn’t enough, he even worked as the sound engineer on some of Derrick May’s, Adonis & Fingers Inc’s recording sessions!
Our second guest DJ Bone is to some the champion of the underground. Others see him for the first time and ask the person dancing like crazy next to them, "Where did THIS guy come from?" Think of Detroit Techno and DJ Bone might not be high on your list of luminaries because he is 100% independent and does things on his terms and on his terms only. He won't tap dance or bend to fit the ‘popular’ dj mold. Those who recognize Bone know him for his uncompromising and innovative ways and incredible technical wizardry.
And also Inigo Kennedy is a pioneering and respected techno and electronic music producer and DJ. He is well known for always bringing technical and creative originality and skill to his work. He is the owner of the innovative and genre defying label Asymmetric. He has also been responsible for a large and diverse back catalogue of releases on a wide variety of labels and projects around the World. His discography stretches to almost 100 releases on vinyl, CD and as MP3.
Belgium will be represented by our resident Kr!z and one of Fuse clubs longest running residents Deg.

Kozzmozz @ Tomorrowland
Right from the start the Kozzmozz tent filled up nicely with partyheadz who enjoyed Spacid’s set , warming up nicely, just like the temperatures. Pierre took over but the over-heated tent and his quite full on set , proved a bit too much for our loyal fans, we forgive you J Luckily there were some die hard Steve Bug fans who cheered on their idol all throughout his set , which was simply brilliant, the usual deep and full Steve Bug sound all the way !
Perfect for Steve Rachmad to continue and slowly build it up with more Detroit and melodic techno. And then our resident Kr!z started to bring on the full Kozzmozz techno sound and as it became a ‘little’ bit cooler , the K fans also came back from all corners of the huge.
Tomorrowland grounds and the tent was full again by the time Chris Liebing took over. He clearly enjoyed himself a lot, as did the crowd. We went out with a bang as Ben Sims and Surgeon delivered us their Frequency 7 project ! We loved it and from the smiles on your faces, we think you did too ! The Kozzmozz T-shirts for boys had been sold out for a while and your demand was high so it was more than time for new ones. We decided not to go for new designs but have reprinted some of the most popular ones : the latest 'Kiss my K' versions and the 'old skool' design with the logo and the Chinese letters. They are available both for guys and girls and will be sold in the promotion stand in or next to the Kozzmozz tent on Tomorrowland festival on Sunday, July 27th. Spread the K !
