Nu ook Regi op I love the 90's
Inmiddels werd ook Regi aan de affiche van 'I love the 90's - The party' toegevoegd. Speciaal voor 'I love the 90's' brengt hij tijdens een exclusieve dj-set een opzwepende mix van 90’s klassiekers zoals alleen hij dat kan. “Ethias Arena, waar zijn die handen?”

Dertien jaar na hun split slaagt ‘I love the 90’s – The party’ erin de originele bandleden van 2 Unlimited, Anita Doth en Ray Slijngaard, opnieuw samen te brengen voor een uniek reünieconcert. Het wordt voorlopig het enige concert wereldwijd voor de twee samen, die met meer dan 20 miljoen verkochte platen het best verkopende danceduo aller tijden waren. The 90's ain't back till Ray & Anita are back!

Samen met hun Belgische producers Phil Wilde en Jean-Paul De Coster maakten Ray en Anita als
eerste housemuziek op grote schaal tot een internationaal succes. Met 2 Unlimited scoorden ze een
eerste hit in 1991 met ‘Get Ready For This’, tot vandaag nog de officiële pauzetune bij het
Amerikaanse basketbal (NBA). Hun grootste hit ‘No Limit’ stond in 1993 op nummer één in meer dan
35 landen. In totaal verkocht het duo meer dan 20 miljoen platen. De formule van een mannelijke
rapper en een vrouwelijke zangeres, met makkelijk in het oor liggende melodieën en stevige
danceritmes, werd kenmerkend voor de jaren negentig. -
Eerste namen 2009 bekend!!!
Yes! Hier zijn ze dan, de eerste namen voor de tweede editie van 'I love the 90's - The party'. De eerste editie in 2008 trok 21.500 bezoekers en werd daarmee de grootste party van het land in één zaal. Ook dit jaar wordt het weer een waanzinnig feest! Deze artiesten bevestigden alvast hun komst:
GALA regeerde de hitparades in 1996 en 1997 met haar nummer één hits ‘Freed From Desire’, ‘Let A Boy Cry’ en ‘Come Into My Life’. Sinds enkele jaren leeft het gerucht dat de oorspronkelijk Italiaanse, maar in New York verblijvende zangeres overleden is. Niets is minder waar en dat bewijst ze met haar unieke comeback op ‘I love the 90’s – The party’.
ICE MC verwierf in 1993 en 1994 wereldfaam met ‘It’s A Rainy Day’, ‘Think About The Way’ en ‘Take Away The Colour’. Hij is hét schoolvoorbeeld van de typische Eurodance uit de jaren ’90, waarbij een donkere rapper – in dit geval met Jamaïcaanse roots – met catchy refreintjes afgewisseld werd.
DA RICK & DA BOY TOMMY vertegenwoordigen de latere jaren ’90. Hun ‘Halloween’ was de best verkopende Belgische single van het jaar ’99. Geen enkele Belgische groep slaagde er beter in het publiek op haar hand te krijgen. Tegenwoordig staan beide heren alleen nog samen achter de draaitafels, maar voor ‘I love the 90’s – The party’ maken ze graag een uitzondering door live op te treden. Ze beloven 22.000 springende bezoekers. Da Rick (echte naam Flor Theeuwes) is bovendien het brein achter DHT, waarmee hij in 2005 met ‘Listen To Your Heart’ een top-10 hit scoorde in de Amerikaanse hitlijsten.
PAT KRIMSON scoorde in de jaren ’90 onder verschillende pseudoniemen. Speciaal voor ‘I love the 90’s – The party’ brengt hij een aantal opmerkelijke gasten mee voor een exclusieve liveshow met al de hoogtepunten die hij beleefde als Pat Krimson, 2 Fabiola en Nunca. -

Practival Information I Love The 90's
General
‘I love the 90s – The party’ takes place in the Ethias Arena in Hasselt.
From 11pm to 6am.

Accessibility
Hasselt is very easy to reach via an intersection of major roads from all directions. The most important arterial road is the E313 Antwerp-Luik. In order to reach the Grenslandhallen/Ethias Arena you take exit 29 (Hasselt-Oost). When you are on the E313 near Hasselt the Grenslandhallen is signposted.
The Grenslandhallen/Ethias Arena is located on the large ring road around Hasselt, in the Gouverneur Verwilghensingel. On all the approaching roads in and around the centre of Hasselt you will find (white) signposts that indicate the direction to the Grenslandhallen. For GPS users it is best to give Trichterheideweg as the destination address (instead of Gouverneur Verwilghensingel).
Parking
When you drive onto the site you have to take a ticket at the barriers. The green light at the top of the barriers indicates that you can enter via these barriers. However, if the light is red, then this means that these barriers are used as an exit.
In the entrance hall there are various payment machines for the payment of the tickets, and each accept notes of 5, 10 and 20 euros. You can also pay with Proton. Next to the payment machine there is a telephone machine with which you can upload your Proton via Belgacom. You can pay for a ticket before, during and after the event. The fixed price is 2 euros and remains valid during your visit.
If you are coming to drop someone off and you leave the parking area again within 20 minutes, you can leave the car park for free with this ticket.
Staying overnight
The Grenslandhallen/Ethias Arena is perfectly strategically located in Belgium at the junction between the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg, and can be reached rapidly from all corners of the country. The centre of the city Hasselt is less then one kilometre from the event complex, which stimulates the great public interest. Staying overnight, a day out shopping, sniffing out some culture... Everything is at a convenient walking distance.
