Over PHPBelgium

PHPBelgium aims to be the Belgium community, user group and resource for people and companies that are interested in PHP.

The goal of PHPBelgium is to become the central point of contact for PHP developers in Belgium where we can provide workshops, talks and best-practice sessions to share knowledge among fellow PHP developers and to emphasize that PHP has grown up as a language.

PHPBelgium shall also promote PHP as a programming language to enterprises and software developers who are looking for an alternative technology. There is still a lot of cleaning up to do to remove the “do-it-yourself” and “spielerei” atmosphere that still surrounds PHP.

As being a central point for PHP developers, PHPBelgium can also attract recruitment agencies seeking PHP developers for either job opportunities or development projects. Because of the elevated interest for PHP developers world-wide, only Belgian companies or companies from neighboring countries can post their opportunities.
