Line-up Beats of Love
We hope to welcome you on our special 'rave' edition of Beats of Love on
Saturday.
We have two smashing live-acts for you: the first from Autokratz
from the UK. Want to find out more about them check the interview in Release
Magazine ( www.id-t.be ) or listen to Mish Mash on Studio Brussels on
Friday.
Second we have our own Subs, just proclaimed best Belgian producers
and live-act in the Nightcode Poll of 2008. Here's the line-up of the night

The next Beats Of Love edition is closing in on us and to warm up your precious legs and hips, resident and musical chameleon Spacid cooked you a 1-hour electro set, recorded live on September 2008.
Spacid earned his wings many years ago in the electro scene as the resident of the Body to Body parties among other things. Today he's resident at the popular Beats of Love parties, taking place regularly at Vooruit in Gent.
Spacid stands for an uplifiting selection of the best electro, delivered with undisputable technique.

Next Beats of Love
On Saturday, February 21st Beats of Love brings you their biggest line-up so far!
This time we're going for a ravey electro night so fasten your seatbelts! First up are Autokratz Live, they performed on Pukkelpop and Dour as well as opening up for Underworld and brought us the mini-album 'Down & out in Paris and London' last summer. They are joined by the Belgian electro success story The Subs Live who are scoring big with their 'Subculture' album. But there's more .. also Bobmo will bring a storming set. This 17-year old is from Paris and part of the new French scène. Resident Spacid and Ed&Kim complete this heart-slamming line-up ! -
NYE 2008: what a blast!
As was to be expected the Vooruit filled up quickly and by the magic hour
most people gathered in the Ballroom where under a rain of glitters and
hearts, the start of the New Year was celebrated with lots of kisses and
hugs. Ultravid had no trouble setting the room on fire while Pitch&Hold
nicely warmed up in the Café. In the third room our young talent Ken Dust
learned first hand how it felt to play in front of an audience. When Spacid
took over in the Ballroom he played a sound that reminded us of The Crookers
with a hint of fidget house. In the Café Thomas Anderson played some of his
famous electro hits live and the crowd loved it, singing along where they
could. A perfect mood for Pete Howl to take over with electro house whilst
upstairs the stars of the night, Les Petits Pilous brought on the famous
Boys Noize sound resulting in very energetic and enthousiastic reactions
from the crowd. Those who needed a break, listened to the more minimalistic
sounds of DJ Dan while Fred Nasen continued the electro house vibe in the
Café and Sound of Stereo combined the Boys Noize sound with some more fidget
house upstairs. For the end, everybody gathered in the Café where DJ Cole
treated us to the last electro sounds of the first day of 2009!

Beats of Love NYE sold out & new edition !
We warned you a couple of days ago and we were not joking … our New Years eve party, Beats of Love is now completely sold out … So please do not come to the venue without tickets as we will not be selling any tickets at the door.
If you weren't able to get tickets this time, make sure you're on time for the next edition on Saturday, February 21st. Our guests that night are Autokratz from London who released their mini-album 'Down & Out in London and Paris' on Kitsuné in Paris this summer. They will be joined by Bombo, also from Paris, The Subs Live, Ed & Kim & Spacid.
For those who already have their tickets, see you on December 31st for a smashing start of 2009 ! -
Young Talent selected !
DJ Cole took the task upon him to listen to the many demo's sent in on www.vi.be from Poppunt and made his selection :

So Ken Dust is the winner of our Young Talent contest through Poppunt and he will be playing in the Brugzaal of Beats of Love this December 31st from 24h30 till 02h00. He has been into music since a very young age and has a professional set up since 2003. Now he will show the public what he's been up to for the first time !
