Dodelijke steekpartij in Tessenderlo
De lokale politie van Beringen-Ham-Tessenderlo heeft gisterenavond( 22/04/08) de dader van de dodelijke steekpartij op de Tushoekstraat in Hulst (Tessenderlo) opgepakt. Het gaat om een 42-jarige man, die zijn vriendin, de moeder van het 19-jarige slachtoffer, regelmatig lastig viel. De verdachte verschijnt straks voor de onderzoeksrechter in Hasselt.
Lastigvallen
Gisterennamiddag had de moeder van de 19-jarige man slagen gekregen van de 42-jarige verdachte. In het verleden had hij de vrouw ook al vaak lastig gevallen en slagen toegebracht. De zoon van de vrouw, haar broer en een vriend van de familie trokken gisterenavond rond 18.30 uur naar het huis van de verdachte op de Tushoekstraat. Ze wilden hem aanmanen de vrouw met rust te laten.
Schermutseling
Daarbij kwam het buiten aan de woning tot een discussie en een schermutseling, waarbij de verdachte een mes te voorschijn haalde.
De 42-jarige man stak de 19-jarige met het mes eenmaal in de hartstreek. De hulpdiensten waren zeer snel ter plaatse en brachten de zwaargewonde man naar het Gasthuisbergziekenhuis in Leuven. Daar bezweek de jongeman kort na zijn aankomst in het ziekenhuis.
Opgepakt
De politie kon de verdachte aan zijn woning in de boeien slaan. De twee personen, die het slachtoffer vergezelden, bleven ongedeerd. Ook het moordwapen is teruggevonden. Het parket van Hasselt vorderde gisterenavond nog een onderzoeksrechter.
