Redshape:
is a critically acclaimed and widely influential DJ / Producer originating from Berlin, Germany, producing and performing behind a red mask at all times, even wearing it onstage at his club dates around Europe. It is known that he lives in Berlin and has released over a dozen tracks over the last couple of years or so on labels such as Delsin, Styrax Leaves and Music Man.

Delsin album review:
After numerous highly acclaimed EP releases, Amsterdam based label Delsin is proud to present the debut album of the mysterious masked producer Redshape. One of techno's most enigmatic figures, Berlin based Redshape produces timeless analogue techno with a Detroit edge. Rarely interviewed and with his identity kept a well guarded secret, Redshape's reclusive persona contributes heavily to the aura of romance and drama that surrounds his recorded output.
Repetition is something Redshape works hard to prevent, so his live shows - which brought him to nearly every known European club - morph and develop every time to never play the same show a second time. As a DJ, Redshape is still very inspired by the good old school of mixing and trying to make tracks speak to tracks, making music out of music. To accompany the release of the album, Redshape will release a special edition 10 Paradox Dubs on his own Present label.
Opener 'Seduce Me' introduces a common theme throughout the record, with live percussion providing a dense foundation upon which sustained pads and distorted melodic electronic tone construct a deep and contemplative mid paced techno exploration. 'Garage GT' builds on a central pounding kick, introducing industrious and cavernous beats and accents in a cold mechanical meditation. 'Bound (Part 1 & 2)' unnerves with shrill synth and tight funk drumming reminiscent of both classic sci-fi themes and the chilling progressive textures of Giallo era European horror.
'Man Out of Time' is an epic journey of soaring orchestration and crushing beats. Deep and disorienting, there is an arabesque pragmatism to the central melodic line, evoking images of a stranger lost in a foreign land. 'Globe' is a floor ready creation, resonating as plunging bass and ominous ascendant hat rolls climb to a climax of deep chord melody and reverberant clap. 'Rorschach's Game' punches rhythm into a dense carpet of hissed noise, with melodic shapes unveiling from the murky depths. 'Dead Space Mix (edit)' combines interplanetary pads and shuffled percussion with subtly shifting electronic beats in an transcendental techno treat, while closer 'Dark & Sticky' combines live funk drums and pounded bass into a viscous and heavy compound, unimpaired by looming tape hiss and fuzz.
As complex and mysterious as it's creator, 'The Dance Paradox' is a profound work of skill and vision that will be referenced through 2009 and beyond. Great work, whoever you are..

Delsin:
Label started in 1996 by Peel Seamus. In the past responsible for introduction of artists as CiM, Aardvarck, Newworldaquarium, D5, Yotoko and Dynarec. And releasing albums by Optic Nerve, Future Beat Alliance and $tinkworx. Around for over ten years, covering all genres, from deep electronica by CiM, Norken and Lucky&Easy, to deep house by Newworldaquarium and Dj Yoav B, jazzy beats by Aardvarck and Yotoko, to more electro things by Dynarec and Stinkworx.
2006 saw the introduction of new talents as Redshape and Quince, and releases by artists like Vince Watson, D5, Taho and Shed. Since the 50th release, 'Planet Delsin', concentrating more on the dancefloor side of things - all oriented Deep Techno, Neo-Detroit, Post-Detroit, Technosoul, whatever they call it.. Emerging in 1993, when Dr. Dre's G-funk had overtaken the hip-hop world, the Staten Island, NY-based Wu-Tang Clan proved to be the most revolutionary rap group of the mid-'90s -- and only partially because of their music. Turning the standard concept of a hip-hop crew inside out, the Wu-Tang Clan were assembled as a loose congregation of nine MCs, almost as a support group. Instead of releasing one album after another, the Clan were designed to overtake the record industry in as profitable a fashion as possible -- the idea was to establish the Wu-Tang as a force with their debut album and then spin off into as many side projects as possible.

Kingstonlogic 2.0 is the second video release from the album of the same title by Waterhouse, Kingston artist Terry Lynn, and the second video directed by the Rickards Bros. for the artist.

In creating the first experimental video for Kingstonlogic 1.0, producer phred connected Lynns lyrics to a rapidly-changing series of Afflicted Yard photographs depicting various realities of life in modern Kingston. In version 2.0, the colourful frenzy of Kingston comes alive with the collaboration of Terry Lynn, phred and The Rickards Bros returning on the beat opus of French producer Olivier Giacomotto.

The first video combining the talents of The Rickards Bros. and Terry Lynn, "The System", took aim at the corruption and violence which plagues the island, set against the backdrop of a rural slaughterhouse. It won accolades on many 2008 best video roundups, including Spin Magazine and Pitchfork.tv.

The Kingstonlogic2.0 video was screened for the first time to an audience in the streets of Waterhouse, Kingston where the entire video was shot, resulting in the unique event being covered in depth on national TV broadcaster TVJ.

Refusing to dole out the payola ransom money that Jamaican media and radio so often demands, 1000 copies of Terry Lynns debut album Kingstonlogic 2.0 were instead manufactured and distributed for free across the country, and throughout impoverished neighborhoods. Each copy was emblazoned with an anti-payola message; "my music is about the people, for the people, it's about change. we will not pay media a ransom to play this for people, we are instead paying for phree copies for you".

It's a strategy and movement that matches Terry's message and sound: honesty and change. Same goes for the debut in the streets from which it came. The new video is a culmination of a great deal of time and effort from everyone involved, including the community, to create something that looks and sounds unique in an uncompromising way. The single complete with fresh remixes is is available on phree music in the UK on March 23rd, 2009.

The Kingstonlogic 2.0 album has its highly anticipated UK debut April 6 2009, is available in Continental EU on phree music, and in North America on Last Gang Records.
