Het Nederlandse landelijke radiostation 100%NL staat van 7 tot en met 14 februari volledig in het teken van 'De Week van de Liefde’. Op Valentijnsdag sluit 100%NL de week af met de 'Liefdesliedjes Top 100'. Luisteraars kunnen de hele week bellen naar een 0909 nummer bij 100%NL om een boodschap voor hun geliefde in te spreken. En daarom dachten wij dat jullie je grootste liefde misschien wel willen verwennen met een ode aan jullie liefde en een KANEsong of twee… ofzo. Zanger Dinand Woesthoff en gitarist Dennis van Leeuwen van de Haagse rockband Kane zijn vandaag te gast op radio Q-Music Nederland.
De muzikanten worden tussen 16.00 en 19.00 uur te horen in het programma van presentator Menno Barreveld. Ze zijn dan net terug uit Amerika waar is gewerkt aan de afronding van het nieuwe album van Kane dat over enkele maanden zal verschijnen. Q-Music is in Den Haag en omgeving te beluisteren via 100.7 FM.

They’re expected there between 16u and 19u on the show of dj Menno Barreveld. The guys just got back from Amerika where they finished working on their new album which will be released in a few months. You’ll be able to listen to Dutch radio Q-Music in The Hague on 100.7 FM.

Ons weekend was fan-tas-tisch en natuurlijk hopen we dat t’jouwe ook zo was. Maar genoeg over ons…back to business sexy…
Vanochtend schoven Dinand en Dennis aan bij Giel voor de uitzending van Giel op 3FM. Eindelijk kwamen de vrienden van KANE nog eens langs bij Giel. Dinand en Dennis kwamen babbelen over hun nieuwe album. En Giel had een primeur voor hun: een vette versie van ‘Catwalk Criminal’ gemixed door Roland Molendijk. Het was een beetje eng om hem voor’t eerst zo live op de radio te horen maar het leek toch in de smaak te vallen… Naast de luisteraars goed wakker te hebben geschud met wat remixjes op het vroege uur vertelde Dinand en Dennis nog tussendoor dat naast de mega gig in de Rotterdamse Kuip er ook een aantal try-outs op Nederlandse bodem op de agenda staan. Maar ook het buitenland (oa. BELGIE) mag genoeg aandacht en MaYhEm van de heren verwachten in 2008… Na het bezoek aan Giel was het weer tijd om richting The Big Apple te reizen om die nieuwe cd af te werken want het zou maar eens kunnen dat die in april al in de winkel ligt liet Dinand nog tot slot ontvallen.

Our weekend was BooYah great and we sure hope yours as well…But enough about us…back to business sexy…
Early this morning Dinand and Dennis payed a visit to Dutch radio 3FM to talk to dj Giel. After a long time our friends from KANE dropped by to say Hi to Giel. Dinand and Dennis came to talk about their new album. And Giel surprised them with an exclusive: the awesome ‘Catwalk Criminal’ remix made by dj Roland Molendijk. Clearly it was a bit scary for them to hear the track for the first time live on the radio but no worries the guys like it Roland… Next to waking up listeners with their remixes Dinand and Dennis also mentioned that next to the huge concert at the Rotterdam Kuip there also will be some try-out gigs at Dutch venues. In addition they mentioned foreign fans will get a chance to visit a KANEconcert (for sure BELGIUM fans) and enjoy some of the MaYhEm from these gentlemen as they still want to do some exciting things abroad… After visiting Giel they guys are back on their way to The Big Apple to finish the new album which might be in strores as soon as April Dinand concluded the conversation.

TMF Superclip en in Musiqlub
Via de website van AT Productions lezen we dat ‘Catwalk criminal’ superclip is bij TMF Nederland: Kane is terug! Na 'Believe It' uit 2006 werd het even stil rond de Haagse rockers, maar hun nieuwe single 'Catwalk Criminal' wordt volgens ons een dikke hit dus we hebben 'm gebombardeerd tot TMF Superclip! 'Catwalk Criminal' is een echt Kane kraker door het typerende stemgeluid van Dinand Woesthoff en de gitaarriffs van Dennis van Leeuwen, maar toch klinkt de single anders dan andere Kane nummers. En dat is nou net de bedoeling. De band is met hun nieuwe album een andere weg ingeslagen en daar is 'Catwalk Criminal' een voorproefje van. Dat belooft dus veel goeds! De single ligt pas vanaf 21 januari in de winkels, maar jij kan 'Catwalk Criminal' van Kane online bekijken in de TMF Mediaplayer!

On the website of AT Productions we can read that KANE’s new single ‘Catwalk criminal’ has been chosen as superclip at TMF Netherlands: Kane is back! After the release of 'Believe It' in 2006 it got a bit quiet for this band, but their new single 'Catwalk Criminal' has the potential to become a huge hit we think so we bombarded it to our TMF Superclip! 'Catwalk Criminal' has got all the ingredients of a true Kane smash hit combined with the typical sound of lead singer Dinand Woesthoff and guitarriffs of Dennis van Leeuwen, and yet the new tracks sounds totally new to their previous tracks. Single tegelijk in première op radio, TV en internet
Je kon het hier al lezen en vandaag staat het op de site van het Haags Pop Podium: ‘Catwalk criminal’, de nieuwe single van KANE, gaat 1 januari gelijktijdig in première op radio, televisie en internet.
"Het nummer is een goed voorbeeld van waar Kane nu staat", zegt zanger Dinand Woesthoff. "Het is sexy, stijlvol, het rockt en 'it makes you wanna dance’." Gitarist Dennis van Leeuwen : "Mensen die al wat van ons nieuwe werk gehoord hebben, zeggen allemaal: ‘Je hoort hoeveel plezier jullie hebben.’ Dat vind ik heel tof, want dat is precies wat we wilden bereiken."
Kane geeft 1 januari – vlak na de jaarwisseling – een miniconcert in Rotterdam. Dat optreden is dan live te zien op Veronica televisie. De single ‘Catwalk criminal’ ligt vanaf 21 januari in de winkels...

Single KANE simultaneously released on radio, television and the internet
We updated the news but now it’s official and can be read on the website of the Haags Pop Podium: ‘Catwalk criminal’, the new single of KANE, will be released simultaneously on the radio, television and the internet on the 1st of January.
"the track is a good reflection of the state of mind of kane nowadays", according to lead singer Dinand Woesthoff. "It’s sexy, classy, it rocks and 'it makes you wanna dance’." Guitarist Dennis van Leeuwen "People who already got a chance to listen to some of our new material all say the same thing: ‘it’s obvious you guys are having fun.’ That’s pretty cool to me, because that’s exactly what we wanna achieve"
Kane will perform on the 1st of January – immediately after the turn of the year - in Rotterdam. This performance will be broadcasted live on Veronica television. The single ‘Catwalk criminal’ will be in stores from the 21st of January... -

Dorien riep jullie vorige maand via onze websites nog op om KANE de lijst der stemmen - de Radio2 Top 2000 - in te stemmen et voila: they made it baby!!!! ‘Rain down on me’ staat voor de aller aller eerste keer in deze lijst mooi op nr. 908 te blinken en dat…dat is een goed gevoel!

Bijna tijd voor Serious Request en Music for life!
Dit jaar staat 3FM Serious request 2007 in het teken van water. Schoon water! Het is van levensbelang, maar voor ruim één miljard mensen ter wereld niet vanzelfsprekend!
Jaarlijks overlijden 4 miljoen mensen door gebrek aan schoon water. Per dag overlijden 4000 kinderen jonger dan 5 jaar aan ziektes veroorzaakt door gebrek aan schoon water. Vaak simpele ziektes zoals diarree, een direct gevolg van het drinken van vuil water. Voor deze stille ramp doet 3FM de week voor kerst een Serious Request. Het Rode Kruis legt waterpompen en rioleringen aan, voorziet in materialen om water mee te zuiveren, beschermt putten tegen vervuiling en maakt sanitaire voorzieningen toegankelijk. De organisatie geeft ook voorlichting over hygiëne en gezondheid. Op deze manier worden levens gered. Vanaf volgende week woensdag 19 december tem maandag 24 december maken de 3FM dj’s Gerard Ekdom, Michiel Veenstra en Rob Stender non-stop radio vanuit het glazen huis op het Plein in Den Haag voor Serious Request. Almost time for the Serious Request and Music for life campaigns!
This year Dutch radio 3FM Serious request 2007 campaign focuses on water. Clean water! It’s of life value, but for over a billion people across the world it’s simply not granted!
Annually about 4 million die due to lack of clean water. Each day 4000 kids die before they reach the age of 5 to diseases due to lack of clean water. Often easily curable diseases like diarrhei, a direct consequence of drinking polluted water. To raise awareness to this silent killer 3FM launches the Serious Request campaign the week before Christmas. The international Red Cross will construct waterpomps and sewerage systems, will provide in materials to clean the water, will protect wells against pollution en will make sanitary fittings accessible. The organisation also gives education on hygiene and health issues. Due to these actions lives are saved. Starting on next week Wednesday the 19th of December until Monday the 24th of December the 3FM dj’s Gerard Ekdom, Michiel Veenstra and Rob Stenders will lock themselves up and broadcast non-stop radio for Serious Request from inside a glass house on the square in The Hague. Belgian radio station Studio Brussel and the Red Cross organise during the same week as the Serious Request campaign at Dutch radio 3 FM their Music for life campaign. Just like the Serious Request campaign the emphasis here is on the polluted water issue. The total amount raised by Music for Life 2007 will be spent on two aspects of the water issue: structural long term solutions in providing clean drinkable water to the most vulnerable communities in development countries like Namibië, Mozambique, Nepal, Rwanda… and the access to drinkable water to victims of disasters (as seen in Soedan, Ethiopië,Soedan…).
